Folding gift boxes are popular for their lightweight and easy-to-fold characteristics, making them a common tool for product packaging, holiday gifts, and everyday storage. However, improper storage can lead to deformation and damage, affecting their aesthetics and functionality for future use. Therefore, mastering scientific storage methods is crucial.

Preparation Before Storage
Before storing folding gift boxes, ensure they are completely dry and clean. A damp environment can cause the boxes to become moldy, while stains can accelerate material aging. It is recommended to gently wipe the surface with a soft cloth and allow them to air dry naturally in a ventilated area. If there is a residual odor inside the box, place small packets of activated charcoal or desiccant to absorb moisture and odor. Additionally, check the box structure for integrity. If there are tears or creases, lightly reinforce them with transparent tape to prevent further damage during storage.

Choosing a Storage Environment
The ideal storage environment for folding gift boxes should meet the following conditions: temperature 15-25℃, relative humidity 40%-60%. High temperatures can make cardboard brittle, while low temperatures may cause adhesives to fail. Excessive humidity can lead to mold growth, while low humidity can make the material hard and brittle. It is recommended to store boxes in a cool, dry, and dark cabinet or shelf, away from water and heat sources (such as radiators or direct sunlight). For long-term storage, use acid-free corrugated cardboard boxes for layered storage, which are both moisture-proof and pressure-resistant.

Stacking and Arrangement Tips
To save space and protect the boxes, it is recommended to stack them by size, with larger boxes at the bottom and smaller boxes on top, to avoid deformation due to pressure. If the boxes have lids, store the lids separately from the boxes to prevent deformation at the closure. For frequently used gift boxes, arrange them vertically, similar to books, for easy retrieval and reduced stacking pressure. If space is limited, use storage boxes with dividers to manage folding boxes for different purposes.

Regular Maintenance and Inspection
Even with proper storage, it is recommended to check the condition of folding gift boxes quarterly. Pay special attention to for moisture, insect damage, or loosening of the structure. If slight deformation is found, try gently pressing it to restore its shape; if severe mold growth is observed, discard it immediately to avoid contaminating other items.

By using these scientific storage methods, foldable gift boxes not only remain durable but can also be quickly used when needed, balancing practicality and economy.
